Dillwyn, VA: The older sisters of Alexis Artice Rose took pride in the girl known by family and friends as a precocious teen with a constant smile. "We would get in a little fuss, but she would say 'We're all sisters, we can't be doing that,'" said Kim Booker outside a motel near the Dillwyn parking lot where her sister Rose, 18, was fatally stabbed late Tuesday. Portland, OR: Neighbors and family friends say they are still worried about a man who police said killed his wife and is still on the run. Portland police say Le Huang killed his wife Dixiang Huang. Her body was found in their Southeast Portland home earlier this week. A family friend who knows the Huangs well told us she’s worried because she has seen Le Huang’s temper before, including seeing him scream and throw things at his wife during the past year. Pine Bluff, AR: Pine Bluff police said Wednesday that a Pine Bluff man who allegedly shot his wife and then himself early Monday morning has been taken off life support at a Little Rock hospital. Police spokeswoman Regina Vontunglen said James Goldman, 83, is sill in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital, and no other information on his condition was immediately available. Fort Mitchell, AL: Three people accused of murdering a Fort Benning solider earlier this week are now all behind bars. Forty-two-year-old Michael Tucker turned himself in Friday afternoon and is charged with killing Sergeant First Class Donald Wilson early Sunday. Also facing the same charge is Wilson's widow, Gloria Wilson, and her boyfriend, Travis Leonard. They were both arrested this week. Tucker told police he was involved in the plot to kill the 34-year-old soldier, but claims he did not pull the trigger. Peshtigo, WI: The media reports from Peshtigo last week hit Beth Schnorr like a ton of bricks. “It was heartbreaking,” Schnorr, executive director of Harbor House Domestic Abuse Programs in Appleton, said of the news coverage of the murder of Patricia Waschbisch. The 45-year-old Waschbisch, who was the interim director of Rainbow House, a domestic abuse shelter in Marinette, was found dead inside her home in nearby Peshtigo on April 28. Green Township, PA: A man has been charged with criminal homicide and aggravated assault in the stabbing deaths of a man and woman found at a mobile home in northwestern Pennsylvania. Thirty-eight-year-old Scott A. Black of Butler is charged in Forest County in the deaths of 42-year-old Marcelle Edwards of Tionesta and 43-year-old Donald Shay of Leechburg. Benjamin Felix Sanchez, 45, of Santa Ana was arrested Saturday within hours of allegedly killing 34-year-old Yara Sanchez and leaving her friend with a non-fatal but serious wound. Their names are contained in the complaint filed in Riverside County Superior Court against Drew Colston Stelp, 51, who was arraigned Thursday, May 2, on murder and other charges.
