Mandy Matula, of Eden Prairie, Minnesota was last seen May 1st before her former boyfriend, who she had just ended a relationship with, visited her at her family home.  The next day, he fatally shot himself, with a gun he had purchased in the days before Mandy's disappearance, in the parking lot of the Eden Prairie police department rather than face questioning.  The search for her body continues.

Aliza Sherman, of Beachwood, Ohio was brutally murdered in downtown Cleveland on Sunday, March 24, 2013 outside her divorce lawyers office, just days before her divorce trial was set to begin. Aliza, who was 53, had filed to divorce her husband of 30 years in 2011. It would have marked the end of a troubled marriage as well as a messy divorce process. Beachwood Police say they had been called to the Sherman home more than a dozen times going back several years for a variety of domestic disputes, but that no physical violence had been reported.

Last seen on April 19, 2013, foul play is suspected in the disappearance of Melissa Rodriguez, of Collingdale, Pennsylvania.  Less than two months before she went missing, she was denied a Protection from Abuse Order against her estranged husband, who has been less than cooperative with authorities and has now hired an attorney.

“Willfull, deliberate and premeditated.” That is how Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney Paul B. Ebert described the murder of 15½-month-old Prince McLeod Rams. The crime was allegedly committed by his father, who fought the mother’s objections to his unsupervised visits with the child, as part of a scheme to cash in on multiple insurance policies. It is a damning description that should give pause to those responsible for the institutions who, despite sufficient warning, failed to protect this little boy.
