Santa Fe, TX: The man accused of killing his estranged girlfriend outside her house Saturday faces additional charges, police said. William Ray Parker, 44, of Hitchcock is charged in the shooting death of Angela Renee Lopez, 42. Valrico Man Accused of Strangling Wife With Electrical Cord
Valrico, FL: Deputies arrested a man Friday accused of strangling his wife with an electrical cord earlier this year. Colin Joseph Maloney, 39, called 911 on March 18 and told a dispatcher he had found his wife, Felicia, unconscious in the bathroom of their Valrico home. "She is non-responsive, her jaw is clenched and she's a little blue," Maloney told a dispatcher. When paramedics arrived at the home at 3413 Pearson Road, they performed CPR for about 20 minutes. Camp Verde, AZ: The Camp Verde Marshal's Office Friday charged 43-year-old Joseph A. Montiel with the murder of his estranged wife Jaime Treakle Montiel. She is the 26-year-old woman who vanished while trying to get a ride home from the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde Aug. 17. At the time, she had just bonded out after being arrested for failing to appear and pay fines in Justice Court. Eunice, LA: A man has been arrested with a murder that happened in Eunice early Saturday morning. Robert Lee Heard has been taken into custody by Shreveport Police Department. Eunice Police will travel to Shreveport today for transfer back to Eunice to face 1st degree murder charges. Jones, 69, the area chairman at NPS for Financial Management, was arrested late Thursday in Los Angeles after San Benito County Sheriff's investigators conducted a search of his home on Spray Avenue in Monterey. Overland Park, KS: A Virginia man who fled the country after a pediatrician was found dead near an Overland Park hotel has been captured by federal agents in Colombia, Overland Park Police said on Monday afternoon. The victim, Franchesca Brown of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, was found dead in a wooded area near the Hawthorn Suites off 111th Street in Overland Park last Wednesday. Sioux Falls, SD: Worried about an escalating conflict, Amanda Connors drove up to the door of the hair salon she managed and confronted her employee's boyfriend, who had just kidnapped his two kids after being hit with a protection order and domestic violence arrest. The heroic decision cost Connors her life, but the mother's was spared. Police said Connors was leaving the Sioux Falls salon Tuesday afternoon when she saw Tyrone Leeon Smith, 38, with the kids in the parking lot. She phoned the store from her car to warn her employees, including Smith's girlfriend, then pulled her car up. Warren, AR: The director of the Southeast Arkansas Regional Library and his wife were found dead in their Warren home Tuesday morning, apparently from a murder-suicide. The bodies of Kim Patterson, 64, and his wife, Sandra, 52, were found in a sitting room off the main bedroom of their home at 316 East Cedar Street, according to Lt. Shaun Hildreth, a criminal investigator with the Warren Police Department. Sebring, FL: The Highlands County Sheriff's Office is investigating a domestic incident that apparently ended in a murder-suicide on Sunday. According to a press release, deputies were dispatched to 3529 Cemetery Road at around 1:30 p.m. Sunday for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies found that an altercation had taken place and two people were severely injured.
