Merced County, CA: The Stanislaus County Sheriff is offering his deepest condolences to the family of a 4-year-old boy who was kidnapped two weeks ago in Patterson after the body of a young boy was found in a canal early this morning. The body, believed to be that of 4-year-old Juliani Cardenas, was found in the Delta-Mendota Canal near the town of Gustine. Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson says DNA will be used to make a positive identification, but the appearance and clothing matches that of Juliani. 
Circle Pines, MN: A woman killed in an apparent murder-suicide Wednesday morning in Circle Pines was likely ambushed by her ex-boyfriend when she arranged to pick up money from him. The bodies of 26-year-old Nicole Meier and 36-year-old Jesse Oakley were found in a townhome on the 500 block of Village Parkway at 11:28 a.m. Wednesday after Centennial Lakes police were dispatched to check the welfare of Meier, who missed work. 
Phoenix, AZ: Friends of a Goodyear woman who was killed in an apparent murder-suicide gathered at a Litchfield Park restaurant to celebrate her life. Tara Shermerhorn's family reported her missing Feb. 3. Police thought the 31-year-old may have been abducted by her ex-boyfriend, 47-year-old Thomas Watson, according to Goodyear police.

Nogales, AZ: Detectives are still trying to determine what led Christina Carrizoza-Villa's death at her home Sunday afternoon. Lieutenant Carlos Jimenez tells 9OYS the victim was stabbed several times. Officers arrested Christina's husband 38-year-old Juan Villa in connection with her death. According to police, Villa called his in-laws to confess to the crime then they called the police. 
Niles, OH: The Trumbull County Coroner's Office on Wednesday ruled the death of a Niles woman a homicide, saying she died from blunt force trauma to the head. The body of Lisa Fisher, 39, was found Monday at the 138 S. Cleveland Ave. home she shared with her husband, Robert, 53. He was found in the bedroom unresponsive with several stab wounds all over his body. 
Queens, NY: Four days before Valentine's Day, a crazed Queens man yesterday waltzed into a pharmacy, handed a bouquet of carnations and sunflowers to his estranged wife, who was working the register, and fatally shot her in the face, cops said. Ex-con Alexander Figueroa, 38, shot himself dead shortly after blasting Guimmia Villa, 32, the mother of his two sons, inside Crescent Chemists in Astoria. 
Phoenix, AZ: A man wanted in connection with the death of his 62-year-old former girlfriend in Phoenix was arrested Sunday in Las Vegas, where authorities suspect he also tried to kill another ex-girlfriend, the Phoenix Police Department reported Monday. Las Vegas police found the suspect - Wade Ridley, 53 - driving the red 2005 Toyota Solara convertible that belonged to Anne Marie Simenson, a Phoenix real-estate agent discovered dead in her home at about 4 p.m. Thursday, Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos said Monday.

Jose Oswaldo Reyes-Alfaro is charged with three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in the Feb 10. shooting deaths of William Ashcraft, 37, his mother, Brenda Ashcraft, 56, and Julio Cesar Ulloa, 48. 
Benicia, CA: A man was arrested Friday night after his live-in girlfriend was found dead in their home in Benicia, a police lieutenant said Saturday. Officers responded about 2:15 p.m. Friday to a report of a woman having a medical problem at a home in the 800 block of Military East. They entered the home to find Katherine Gillihan, 26, dead in a bedroom, Benicia police Lt. Mike Daley said.

Early this morning, Maksim Gelman, 23, repeatedly stabbed Alexsandr Kuznetsov, 54, after a heated argument in his Sheepshead Bay home, police said. The body was discovered about 5 a.m.

She was leaving her home to go to work when police say her ex-boyfriend, who had been waiting outside for her, shot her in the chest and then turned the gun on himself. 
Chesterfield, IN: A local man who shot his girlfriend before killing himself at her Chesterfield home Sunday morning was facing charges for child molestation, police said Sunday. At 6:39 a.m. Sunday, police responded to reports of a shooting at 419 Vassbinder Drive in Chesterfield. Inside the home, police found the body of 36-year-old Aaron L. Wagers, who had been living at the location with his girlfriend, Megan Rider, 25. 
Poughkeepsie, NY: A man who fatally shot his wife and a police officer in a Poughkeepsie, New York, parking lot before turning the gun on himself had been arrested previously for assaulting the woman, law enforcement officials said Saturday. Poughkeepsie police identified the suspect as Lee Welch, 27. Welch shot and killed veteran Poughkeepsie police officer John Falcone, 44, while fleeing the scene of his wife's shooting early Friday afternoon, police officials said. 
Saluda, NC: The Polk County sheriff said Wednesday that he is “100 percent sure” the killer of a popular Hendersonville Realtor is her husband. Vanessa Mintz, 53, was found dead Saturday morning at the mountain motor lodge in Saluda that her family recently renovated and reopened. 
Hattiesburg, MS: It was chaos outside a coast casino early Monday morning as a murder suspect kept Gulfport police and federal marshals at bay by pointing a gun to his head. The Hattiesburg murder suspect ended up in the Island View Casino parking lot 6 hours after Brittany Morgan was killed. Those who knew her said she was a wonderful young woman in a bad relationship. 
Sabre Springs, CA: A man and woman were found dead in an apartment in Sabre Springs, and the woman's husband was arrested on suspicion of murder, according to police. The bodies of 23-year-old Valerie Marabante and Bernabe Villamar, 26, were found about 8:15 a.m. Sunday at the Evening Creek apartment homes on Evening Creek Drive, San Diego police Lt. Kevin Rooney told the Union-Tribune and a local television station. 
Spring, TX: Four months after a Spring woman [Christie Sumstad] was strangled to death, her husband has turned himself in to Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office detectives. Investigators met with the District Attorney’s Office Monday and received a warrant of arrest for the victim’s husband, Ryan Lee Sumstad. Sumstad, 36, surrendered Tuesday and was placed into jail, with bond set at $500,000. 
Forest Park, GA: The family of a dead Clayton County teen stormed out of the courtroom Tuesday when a judge granted bond to the person accused of providing the gun that killed their daughter. Police say Robert Bethune, 21, gave Kevin Kosturi, 15, the gun, which Kosturi then used to kill his 16-year old ex-girlfriend at a forest tree house. 
Cambridge, MD: The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office is continuing its investigation into a shooting that left a married couple from Linkwood dead. Police say on Tuesday evening they found the body's of Michael Brittingham and his wife, Jennifer Brittingham, in a car along Airey's Road. The husband and wife were both in their 30s and leave behind three teenage children. 
Douglas County, CO: Four people have been arrested in the double-homicide case in Douglas County, including the estranged husband of the woman who was killed. Amara Wells, 39, and her brother-in-law, Robert D. Rafferty Jr., 49, were found dead at 3 a.m. last Wednesday. Wells' 6-year-old daughter found their bodies and ran to a neighbor's house for help. 
Dayton, OH: It took 24 hours for a man to decide what to do after he shot his girlfriend [Regina Susan Crum, 54] to death . James William House Jr. called the Regional Dispatch Center at 3:49 a.m. Friday from a pay phone to say that he had shot her early Thursday in his third-floor apartment at 220 Park Manor Drive. 
Dubuque, IA: Teodoro Borrego appeared in court Thursday morning, where Dubuque County prosecutors charged him with murder in the first degree. The judge set Borrego's preliminary hearing for March 15 at 10:15 a.m. He's being held on $750,000 cash bond. Borrego asked for a court-appointed attorney. The judge granted him a public defender. Borrego's and victim 40-year-old Shani Smith's two adult children they had together, daughter Jordan Borrego, 20, and son Dario Borrego, 19, were at the courthouse Thursday. 
Dumont, NJ: A Bergen County man is in custody after allegedly shooting his girlfriend, going to a movie theater, then calling police to come arrest him, authorities said . Jordan Turner, 24, of Dumont, phoned the Bergenfield Police just after midnight Saturday, telling them that he had shot his girlfriend, Heather Reyes, with an AR-15 rifle at a home in Dumont, according to a statement by the Bergen County Prosecutor's office. 
East Hampton, CT: Investigators are talking about the case of an East Hampton woman that was found dead last Friday, as well as the person of interest in the case who committed suicide on Sunday night. A candle and a bouquet of flowers now sit on the porch of the home of Jaclyn Fitzgerald. Police are still investigating her murder, but have stopped short of naming her on-again off-again boyfriend, Oscar Wojtanowski, as a prime suspect. 
Brooklyn Park, MN: A Brooklyn Park man beat his wife [Cynthia Hickman, 34] to death with a baseball bat, then shoved her body beneath a mattress and lit it on fire while his children cowered in the basement, according to charges filed Tuesday. Henry Hickman then allegedly left his young sons in the basement while the house filled with smoke and called the man his estranged wife was dating. "She's done and you're next." 
Miami, FL: The man who was arrested in the shooting death of his teen girlfriend [Tracy Gabriel, 16] allegedly sent disturbing text messages to the victim's sister, Amadonne Gabriel, after the murder, according to an affidavit. "I did not mean to kill your sister but f--- you I aint worried scared of nothing tell them to come for me. I am ready. I am ready to die and I am killing anybody and anything that moves. Tracy was a mistake but the next wont be."
