Cleveland, OH: Cleveland Police have released the 911 calls from a horrific domestic violence incident on Harvard Avenue Wednesday morning. This, after Julian Whitaker, 31, reportedly slashed the throat of this girlfriend's 10-year-old daughter and fatally stabbed her 5-year-old son. Whitaker is also accused of killing the family's dog. 
St. Joseph, MO: Authorities in western Missouri say a man suspected of killing his wife in St. Joseph has died following a chase and shootout about 100 miles away. But it was not clear Wednesday night if the man killed himself or was shot by law enforcement in a shootout along U.S. 65 south of Marshall. Police told the St. Joseph News-Press that 27-year-old Amanda Arnold was killed around Wednesday afternoon in an apparent domestic dispute. 
Chula Vista, CA: Authorities are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that left two adults and two children dead. The case began early Wednesday morning when a California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer spotted a 2001 Hyundai blocking a lane of the 125 Freeway near Highway 54 in the Spring Valley area, authorities said. The body of a man was spotted in a ravine about 100 feet below, an apparent suicide. » 
Salt Lake City, UT: A woman found under a mattress at a Salt Lake motel may have been dead four or five days before her body was discovered. The woman was identified Friday as Jessica Irene Jensen, of Layton. According to court records, her 26th birthday would have been Monday, when she may already have been dead. Ben Hankins, a reserve officer with Gaston police, shot and killed Lisa "Nettie" Hankins, 32, during a dispute Friday morning when she was dropping off one of the couple's three children, police said. 
Patterson, CA: 10-year-old Hussan Williams did what most kids do following his last day of 5th grade on Thursday. He went to a friend's house to play. What happened next was anything but typical. Authorities believe Hussan's father, Anthony Lee Williams, picked him up at his friend's house around 5:30pm before shooting and killing the boy and then turned the gun on himself. 
Calera, AL: A Tennessee man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend in Calera is now facing upgraded charges of capital murder. Terry L. Griggs, 52, was initially charged with murder in connection with the death of Wendy Marie Thompson, whose body was found June 4 in her Milstead Road home. 
Greene, IA: Judy Renee Petersen died of multiple stab wounds in her home Saturday night, according to documents filed Monday in Jackson County, S.D., Circuit Court. According to those documents, law enforcement officers used bank credit card transactions to track the whereabouts of her husband, Thomas, a suspect in the killing, who was captured in South Dakota early Sunday. 
Hayes, VA: Gloucester County deputies responded to the scene of a what they're calling a murder, suicide in the 1800 block of Gloucester Road in Hayes, Virginia Sunday. It was around 2 p.m. when officials say they got the initial call from a woman claiming her estranged husband, Keith Philip Ketch, had just shot her boyfriend. 
Atlanta, GA: A Canton man was in the Fulton County Jail Monday, charged with killing his ex-girlfriend and mother of his two children Sunday while the toddlers looked on. The slaying was the third deadly domestic incident of the weekend in metro Atlanta. According to Milton police, the shooting happened around 2 p.m. Sunday when Christopher Erdman met Shannon Lawrence in the Birmingham Crossings shopping center parking lot to exchange custody of the children. 
Winslow, ME: Nathaniel Gordon chased his wife down Marie Street on Monday night with a handgun, shooting her several times before finally ending her life in front of a neighbor’s house, Maine State Police officials said Tuesday. Gordon, 32, then fled in a car registered to his wife, Sarah Gordon, 30, and later shot himself in Gray after a police chase in what law enforcement is calling a domestic violence murder-suicide. 
Knoxboro, NY: An Oneida County Sheriff's Deputy was shot and killed following a standoff at a residence in rural Knoxboro overnight. Deputy Kurt Wyman – a 24-year-old US Marine who served in the Middle East – died of one gunshot wound after being taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Utica. The suspect, 41-year-old Chris Patterson, was also shot during the incident. He was taken to the same hospital and is recovering from his injuries, but his condition is not yet known. 
Dickson, TN: Dickson County Sheriff's Deputy Keith Bellar died Tuesday morning at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after being shot in the head. Dickson County Sheriff Jeff Bledsoe announced that he passed away at 7:47 a.m. The visibly upset sheriff took no questions from reporters after making the announcement around 10:30 a.m. There was no mistaking the grief in Sheriff Jeff Bledsoe's voice, or his pauses. "Deputy Bellar was doing what he did best, serving and protecting the citizens of Dickson County," Bledsoe said while holding back tears outside Vanderbilt Medical Center Tuesday. 
Pottsville, PA: A Pottsville woman found dead inside her apartment Wednesday was killed during a fight with her boyfriend, who then fled the state before returning to turn himself in, authorities said Thursday. The county district attorney will decide whether to charge Joseph P. Pinnelle, 60, in the death of Ruth Ann Golden, 45. 
Wallingford, CT: Family and friends Thursday expressed shock over the death of a town woman, and said they were surprised that her body was found with a man they did not know about who was not the man to whom she was engaged. Police continue to investigate what they believe is a murder-suicide that occurred Wednesday in a quiet apartment complex on Knollwood Drive. The bodies of Wendy Warzeniak, 52, of 179 Knollwood Drive, and Jonathan Graves, 63, of Fedus Road in Colchester, were found in her unit Wednesday by a maintenance man, who had received a call from Warzeniak's worried daughter. 
Worcester, MA: A city man walked into the Worcester Police Department this morning and told police officers that he had murdered his wife and wanted to turn himself in. Natalio Felix, 39, of 16 Huntingdon Ave., went into the police station at 9 a.m. and told police that they could find his wife's body in their home, which they shared. Police went to the house and found the man's wife, Janice Santos, 39, in a bedroom on the home's second floor, according to police. »

Southington, CT: Police identified the woman stabbed and shot to death at 47 West St. as Saudina Mehovic, 37. She was killed by her ex-husband Nurija Mehovic, 48, who then killed himself, police said. Two teenage sons were home at the time, but were not injured, police said. » 
Bronx, NY: State police say a body found in a state park in the Hudson Valley was identified as a 22-year-old Bronx woman whose boyfriend fatally shot himself when troopers in Virginia tried to stop his car. The body of Jasmine Maxine Nunez was found by firefighters called to a brush fire on June 12 at James Baird State Park in the town of Lagrange in Dutchess County. 
South Bend, IN: A 38-year-old man was sentenced Friday to 55 years in prison for killing his wife last summer, the maximum allowed under the terms of his plea agreement.
Dexter, ME: Maine State Police say four bodies have been found inside a Dexter home after members of the department’s tactical team entered the house Monday afternoon. The bodies were identified those of Steven and Amy Lake and their two children, Coty, 13, and Monica, 12. All four were found in the living room on the first floor of the house at 173 Shore Road, according Maj. Gary Wright of the state police. He said it appeared that Steven Lake, 37, used a shotgun to kill his wife, children and then himself. 
Berlin Township, OH: A woman from Huron County died Tuesday morning after deputies say her estranged husband stabbed her with a screwdriver and tried to strangle her earlier this month. Maria Vera, 22, of Norwalk, died at about 4:30 a.m., according to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. She had been hospitalized since the incident occurred on June 2. 
Concord, NH: A man fatally shot his wife Tuesday morning, then killed himself as police arrived at his 230 Elm St. home, according to authorities. Assistant Attorney General Jeffery Strelzin identified the couple as Matthew Balch, 22, and his wife, Sarah Renkert Balch, 25. 
Florence, SC: Florence County Coroner Bubba Matthews says the body of a missing woman found Wednesday afternoon was so decomposed that an autopsy couldn't determine a cause of death. Deputies with the Florence County Sheriff's Office Devin Ham Ivey's husband killed her and they have an indication of how she died, but they can't release it at this point. Felicia Howard of Olanta never imagined the search for her longtime friend, 22 year old Devin Ham Ivey, would end so tragically. 
Sherman Oaks, CA: Police were trying to determine Thursday why a Tarzana doctor shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself in the driveway of their Sherman Oaks home. “It is being investigated as a murder-suicide,” said Officer Bruce Borihanh, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department. “Detectives are interviewing anybody and everybody to see if they can determine a motive," he continued. "There are no outside suspects being pursued.” Police called to the home of Alex Michaelson, 39, and his wife, Vera Michaelson, 32, in the 15000 block of Sherview Place around 6:40 p.m. Wednesday found the couple dead, Borihanh said. 
Auburn, NY: It was just a matter of hours after Katie Socci was reported missing that police found her body along a walking trail on the outskirts of Auburn. It was also just a matter of hours before their suspicions focused on 35-year-old David McNamara, the father of Katie's daughter and the man she was once going to marry. 
Hampden Township, PA: A man and a woman were killed in a Cumberland County home early Wednesday morning and the suspect in the double homicide has killed himself. The homicide happened in the 3900 block of Brookridge Drive in Hampden Township. Paul Johnson, 34, who lived in the home, and Wendy Royer, 36, of South 30th Street in Camp Hill, were killed. 
Hagerstown, MD: Heather Harris, the Hagerstown woman authorities say was shot twice in the head by her ex-boyfriend last Friday in her Dual Highway home, died Wednesday at Meritus Medical Center, according to a hospital spokeswoman. A statement from the family on Monday said that Harris’s organs would be harvested to help others. It described her as a woman who “loved children, fishing, dancing and shopping .... Beautifully spirited inside and out.” 
El Paso, TX: The manhunt for the fugitive police said murdered his wife started Thursday afternoon and ended Friday afternoon when police discovered him at a northeast El Paso motel not far from the scene of the crime. Police arrested Brian Anthony Engleton, 42, at 2:36 p.m at the Beverly Crest Motel at 8709 Dyer Street, just two miles from where Deidre Engleton was attacked. 
Pittsfield Township, PA: Washtenaw County prosecutors authorized a warrant this afternoon charging Greg Noack, 44, with open murder in the death of Dawn Marie Fital, said Pittsfield Township police. Fital, 45, of Pittsfield Township, had been missing since Monday. This morning, police found a body they believe to be hers stuffed in a weighted suitcase in a swampy area behind a Toys R Us store near Hobart, in northwest Indiana. 
Bethlehem, PA: Bethlehem police Friday evening found the dismembered body of a city woman inside the Cloverdale Road home where her boyfriend holed up during a six-hour standoff with authorities, court records say. Trisha Sadler's bloody remains were stuffed inside heavy plastic bags officers found during a search of the West Bethlehem home she shared with William J. Ward, records say.

Winnsboro, LA: Police tape remains wrapped around a house on the corner of Prairie Road in Winnsboro. 17-year-old Stephanie Love was killed inside the house Monday night. Police said her older sister, Morgan Love, was shot to death in the front yard. 
Hughes Springs, TX: Hughes Springs Police are working a suspected murder/suicide at a home in the 1400 block of East First Street. Investigators say around 7 o'clock, Stan Nolan went to the home of his estranged wife Kandi Nolen. She reportedly called 9-1-1, but investigators say the line went dead. 
Tacoma, WA: A 47-year-old man killed his estranged wife in her home Monday before trying to commit suicide with a knife, Pierce County sheriff’s deputies reported. When 50-year-old Carol Selland didn’t show up at work or call in sick, concerned co-workers went to check on her about 10:45 a.m. They called 911 after spotting the husband’s truck parked in the driveway in the 2600 block of 128th Street East. 
East Orange, NJ: The East Orange woman shot by her boyfriend before he fatally shot himself last night was in fact killed, contrary to what authorities reported Tuesday, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office said this afternoon. Latoshia Murray, 23, was shot multiple times shortly before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday evening by Alex Fuller, 29, in the North Grove Street apartment the couple shared with their two sons, aged 3 and 5, the prosecutor’s office said. 
Seminole, OK: The search continues for a man accused of killing his girlfriend in Seminole. The Seminole County Sheriff's department say Adam Rollins is suspected of shooting and killing his girlfriend Shiloh Mitchell yesterday afternoon. Authorities thought they had found Rollins after they had information to believe he may have been hiding in a house in Paul Valley. 
Mount Pleasant, MS: On June 29 about 4:30 p.m., detectives from the Mount Pleasant Police Department served an arrest warrant for the charge of Murder on Robert Boyler, 48, of Mount Pleasant, who was being held in the Titus County Jail on a Camp County warrant. The murder warrant was secured after the investigation of the suspicious death on June 25 of Kathleen McNally, 42. 
North Platte, NE: A 35-year-old North Platte woman died early Saturday morning and her husband is in jail, charged with second degree homicide. According to the police, Roger Diaz called rescue crews to the home he shared with his wife Michelle Diaz, 1920 W. 18th, around 2 a.m. Saturday. Michelle Diaz was unresponsive when rescuers arrived, police Lt. Rich Thompson said. 
Palmview, TX: This was one of the deadliest weekends for the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office as the body count rose from 9 to 12 since the beginning of the year, Sherriff Lupe Treviño said Monday. His office investigated three separate homicides over a two-day span, beginning Saturday and ending Monday. Two of the deaths stemmed from disputes between acquaintances, including the beating death of a man by his friend and a teen [Jonathan Ramos] who was intentionally run over by his mother’s ex-boyfriend, Treviño said. 
Hawkinsville, GA: Investigators are still asking questions about the death of 18 year old Ashton Bartlett. The teen from Hawkinsville was shot and killed early Saturday morning around 3:30 am. Investigators say 32 year old Birago Blackshear was Bartlett's boyfriend, but her family refer to him as her ex. According to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, he is responsible for killing Bartlett. 
Red Bank, NJ: The body of a Monmouth County woman who disappeared after leaving her job at a Red Bank restaurant last month was discovered Saturday, and police have charged her estranged husband with the slaying. Viridiana Beltran Gomez, 26, was found buried about 100 feet from the Garden State Parkway in Aberdeen, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Pete Warshaw, who said her estranged husband, 31-year-old Oscar Prior-Ramirez, is facing murder charges in connection with her death. 
Elko, NV: The Washoe County medical examiner has confirmed the death of Stephanie Gonzalez Estrada, 29, was a homicide, according to police. However, Elko police Lt. Richard Genseal said his department is not releasing any details at this time. “Please understand that there are details surrounding the death that are specific to the case, and any information released could jeopardize our ability to prosecute the case,” Genseal said. 
Ware County, GA: A Waycross man who went to rescue his niece from a domestic dispute was shot to death early Sunday when he tried to drive away after a fistfight with a Ware County man now charged with murder. William Preston Cowart, 36, died after being shot several times with a high-power, 7mm rifle about 12:30 a.m. at Kevin Alan Sears' home in the 5000 block of Hayley Way, Ware County Sheriff Randy Royal told the Times-Union. 
Fort Walton Beach, FL: A local man was charged with murder Sunday night in the death of his girlfriend. Benjamin George Inman is accused of killing 34-year-old Tammy Lynn Shields on Sunday after the two had an argument. “What we think at this time is that there was an argument over money,” said Rick Hord, public information officer with the Fort Walton Beach Police Department. “He wanted, apparently, to buy drugs and he hit her on the head and strangled her.” 
Cass Lake, MN: A 27-year-old Cass Lake man was arraigned Tuesday in connection with the shooting of his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend at her residence in Cass Lake, Cass County Attorney Christopher Strandlie said. Ross Zangigabo Littlewolf was charged with second-degree intentional murder and two counts of second-degree assault for the shooting of Kandace Blaine Dunn. 
Youngstown, OH: Charges against a city man will be changed from felonious assault to murder after the 20-year-old woman he’s accused of shooting in the neck died. Melesia Day survived for six days in an area hospital after being shot in the neck at her Tyrell Street home June 23. 
Milwaukee, WI: Family and co-workers are in shock after a beloved Milwaukee Public School teacher was killed Wednesday. Police say 34-year old Becky Manzke was stabbed to death in what's being described as a domestic dispute at her home near 73rd and Burdick. Police have a man in custody. Neighbors describe the man as her ex-boyfriend. 
Clearwater, FL: Troubles with William Routenberg and girls started when he was barely a teenager. At 14, was accused of raping an 11-year-old girl in the hallway of the now-closed Riviera Middle School in St. Petersburg, between sixth and seventh period. She was the last of nine girls prosecutors said Routenberg had raped, molested or inappropriately touched by then. On Friday – after a failed shot at rehabilitation at the now-closed Arthur G. Dozier School for Boys in Marianna – Routenberg, now 35, was charged again in connection with a crime involving a female. This time, the woman is dead.
