Columbia, TN: A Maury County man accused of murdering his girlfriend had a history of abuse dating back to 1998, court records showed. According to the Columbia Daily Herald, Johnny Fleming was arrested Thursday at the home on Lindsey Drive where his girlfriend Tonya Thompson was found shot to death. Police charged Fleming with murder. 
Maui, HI: Maui County prosecutors have filed murder and kidnapping charges against Gerald W. Galaway Jr. of Santa Cruz in connection with last week's slaying of Santa Cruz attorney Celestial Cassman on an oceanfront cliff on Maui. Cassman, 35, was found unresponsive around 7:30 p.m. Thursday near Nakalele Point by police officers responding to a report of a domestic dispute along a cliffside highway on the north end of Maui, said Lt. Wayne Ibarra of the Maui Police Department.

Central Point, OR: Early this morning a 9-1-1 call came in reporting a woman was dead inside her apartment in Central Point. Neighbors say the woman was stabbed several times and although police are not commenting on how she died they have arrested the man they believe is to blame. Officers arrived at the home on the 700 block of East Pine Street in Central Point a little after 7:30 this morning. Inside they found 32-year-old Jessica Bethany dead. 
Tallahassee, FL: Moments before she stabbed her girlfriend Shannon Washington to death, Starquineshia Palmer called her mother and asked her to care for her children, according to police documents released Tuesday. The call came during a daylong fight that started as the two women bathed together, but escalated to violence early Sunday, according to a report. 
Lake George, NY: A man and his two young daughters from western New York died in a murder-suicide at a campground in Lake George. Warren County Sheriff Bud York said Adam P. Parcells, 29, of Hilton, near Rochester, shot Noel Parcells, 10, of Rochester, and Mia Parcells, 3, of Hilton, before turning a rifle on himself. 
Hampton, GA: A Henry County murder suspect was arrested Tuesday in New York City, N.Y., after he was found unconscious in a park. #Fernando Alberto Scott Collymore, 54, alias Fernando Scott, was wanted for the fatal shooting on Sept. 6, of his live-in girlfriend, Richelle Gates, 38, at their home at 136 Goldleaf Drive, in Hampton. 
Oak Forest, IL: A woman shot and critically wounded in an Oak Forest motel in August died Tuesday. Her boyfriend remains jailed on $5 million bond, accused of attacking her then shooting his ex-girlfriend in Markham just hours later. Tonnisha Johnson, 28, of 171 Whitter Ave. in Hazel Crest, was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn at 8:33 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. 
Irondale, AL: A Birmingham police officer killed his wife and then himself early this morning in Irondale. Authorities identified the officer as Rodney Jerome Wilson. His wife was Uteva Monique Wilson. The 41-year-old detective apparently shot his 23-year-old wife and then got on his police radio and warned he was about to take his own life. 
Springfield, OH: A 19-year-old Springfield man was apprehended in Tipp City early Wednesday accused of shooting and killing his girlfriend in their Mulberry Street home Sept. 7. Springfield police Chief Stephen Moody said Dustin Hatfield was located and arrested without incident with the help of SOFAST, a U.S. Marshals Service task force. Hatfield is accused of shooting his girlfriend, Lori Estepp, 21, in the head with a pistol at 739 W. Mulberry Street. 
Vacaville, CA: A domestic incident ended with a woman was shot dead in Vacaville in front of two of her children, according to a family member. Sidney Wilson, 33, of Vacaville was arrested for homicide after police received a call of shots fired and responded to a home in the 200 block of Cambridge Drive at about 10:39 p.m. 
Charleston, SC: Police have arrested a murder suspect in Sumter after they say he stabbed his wife to death in their Charelston County home Friday. Investigators say 29-year-old Chesley "C.J." Black was arrested at a relatives home Friday night just before midnight in Sumter. 
Port Saint Lucie, FL: A local woman is dead and her husband in critical condition Saturday after what police say appears to be a domestic-related shooting and attempted suicide at 510 N.W. Kilpatrick Ave. Sharon Fein, 44, was pronounced dead after being found by Port St. Lucie police officers in a bedroom of the couple's home Friday evening.

Effingham Police say 52-year-old Jerry Smith shot and killed his estranged wife Sharon Smith and her mother Dorothy McClelland before fatally shooting himself. 
Wicomico County, MD: Police announced Thursday that a missing Wicomico County woman whose body was found in a rural wooded area of Somerset County last Sunday was murdered by her husband. Based on evidence developed during the investigation, detectives with the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit and the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation said they have concluded Jess Davis, 57, was responsible for the murder of his wife, Alice Elizabeth Davis, 55. 
Riverdale, GA: The Clayton County mother [Korean Bowden] found stabbed to death in her bedroom, while two kids were tied up in her home, may have been killed days before she was found, police said Tuesday. The woman's boyfriend, 33-year-old William Nazario, has been charged with murder, according to his arrest warrant. Nazario was taken into custody Monday evening in Bartow County, where he was found at a hotel with one of his girlfriend's children. 
San Bernardino, CA: Fourteen-year-old Destiny Hull spent Tuesday morning mopping up dried blood from her grandmother's front porch, stains from an evening that began with an act of kindness and ended with an apparent act of vengeance that left a small girl dead and a pregnant woman and her young daughter seriously wounded. 
Wilmington, OH: The death of a 24-year-old woman is being investigated as a homicide and her live-in boyfriend who is suspected of stabbing her then slit his own throat and is hospitalized. Christina Hill died Tuesday morning of injuries she received when she was stabbed at a residence at 695 Fife Ave., Wilmington, said Officer Duane Weyand, assistant chief of the Wilmington Police Department. 
Coppell, TX: Coppell police are currently investigating what they believe to be a murder-suicide that took place Tuesday morning. Yesterday at approximately 9:58 a.m., the Coppell Police Department received a 911 call from a residence in the 500 block of Parish Place. The male caller advised he was going to shoot himself. Coppell police officers responded to the scene and discovered the body of 58-year-old William John Schuster Sr. in the backyard of the residence with a fatal gunshot wound. Inside the residence, officers discovered the body of 57-year-old Sara Carter Schuster with a fatal gunshot wound. 
Brooklyn Park, MN: A Brooklyn Park man charged with killing his wife -- slashing his wife's neck and stabbing her dozens of times -- is claiming that he was defending himself because she had tried to stab him while he slept. Prince O. Moore Jr., 53, was charged Thursday with second-degree murder in the death of Mauryn E. Moore [Mauryn Masire], 39. He is in custody in lieu of $750,000 bail. 
Meadville, PA: Police said a Crawford County man shot and killed a woman before taking his own life early this morning at a home in Meadville. Meadville police were called to a house in the 600 block of Baldwin Street for a report of shots fired at 3:18 a.m. There, they found 31-year-old Nobilee R. Forro just inside her front door, dead of a gunshot wound to the head. 
Slidell, LA: A man killed the Slidell city prosecutor's secretary and then himself inside the eastern St. Tammany Parish home they shared, authorities discovered Wednesday. Carol Nilsson, 63, died from a bullet wound to the head, and the man she lived with on the 200 block of South Military Road near Slidell fatally shot himself in the mouth, according to Melanie Comeaux, the parish coroner's office executive director. 
Smyrna, TN: A woman was killed and her mother critically injured after police said her ex-boyfriend showed up at the house with a gun and shot them. Police were called to what they described as a domestic situation at a home at 926 Sky Valley Trail in Smyrna Friday around 10 a.m. The home is located in a neighborhood between Interstate 24 and Old Nashville Highway. Neighbors said 39-year-old Charles Godspower came to the house in a jealous rage, waving a gun around. Police said he first shot 49-year-old Diana Glover, and then turned the gun on her daughter, 22-year-old Briana Brown. 
Hernando County, FL: Brett Hattenbrun was angry. Sometime around 10:30 the night of Sept. 16, authorities say, he walked from his home to his son's house, just down Owl Road about 100 yards away. Neighbors say Hattenbrun often stumbled through the neighborhood late at night, as he sipped on a cup of whiskey and walked his basset hound, Yeller. That evening, though, investigators say he had a more specific purpose — to confront his daughter-in-law, Joey Hattenbrun, about marital problems she was having with his son, Chad. 
Port St. Lucie, FL: A 78-year-old Port St. Lucie man killed his 21-year-old wife Saturday before setting fire to their home and fatally shooting himself, police say. The man, identified by friends and property records as Guenther Floerchinger, was found after police received two 911 calls shortly after 1 a.m., reports NBC affilliate WPTV. One of those calls was from Floerchinger himself, telling authorities what he had done. 
Aragon, GA: An incident at an Aragon home Saturday night ended with a woman dead and her husband arrested on a felony murder charge, according to officials and jail records. The woman was Rita [Kelly] Merritt, 27, of 11 East 2nd St., Aragon, according to Greg Ramey, Assistant Special Agent in Charge with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). 
Portage, IN: An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder in the death of a Portage, Ind., woman whose body was found by police near his home Saturday, the Porter County sheriff's department said Monday. Dustin McCowan, of Union Township, is being held in the death of Amanda Bach, 19, said Sgt. Larry LaFlower, spokesman for the sheriff's police. 
Plant City, FL: A Plant City husband was arrested on a first-degree murder charge this morning, accused of beating his wife to death with an aluminum bat. Police officers found Beatrice Ann Dickey, 44, in the master bedroom of her Paddock Drive home, unresponsive and having been beaten on her upper body, according to the Plant City Police Department. Officers showed up shortly before 1 a.m. after someone at the house called 911 to report that a person had been beaten and was hurt. Dickey, the Polk County Sheriff's Office's highest-ranking civilian employee, was flown by helicopter to Tampa General Hospital, where she died. 
Lakeland, FL: In the years before he was accused of killing his wife and wounding two pastors, Jeremiah Fogle's zigzagging lovelife spanned at least six other marriages and another violent death: A previous wife died at his hands more than two decades ago. Fogle, now 57, managed to get only probation in 1987 after pleading guilty to manslaughter for shooting the woman he was married to back then. The slain woman's daughter says she's shocked he never went to prison. 
Seguin, TX: A Seguin man is facing charges in connection with the shooting death of his wife. Police arrested Willie Matthews Jr., 50, early Sunday after they said they found him in a van with his wife's body. Police said Rosa Linda Matthews, 51, was sitting in the drivers seat and had been shot in the face. "They had had problems before, but I never thought it would get like this," said Jose Garcia, the victim's son. "He always said that he was going to kill her. He wasn't going to leave just to leave." Police said it appears Matthews made good on that promise. 
DeBary, FL: A Burger King employee with a history as a victim of domestic violence was shot to death this morning at the DeBary restaurant by an ex-boyfriend, Volusia County Sheriff Ben Johnson said. Jesus Morales, 41, Deltona, is charged with first-degree murder after deputies say he entered the eatery at 305 Sunrise Blvd. and shot Heidi Shelmire, a 38-year-old employee of the restaurant. 
Greenwood, SC: The father of a 2-month-old girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert Monday evening was charged Tuesday afternoon in the killing of the girl's mother. Adrian Keith Neal, 40, was formally charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. According to the arrest warrant, Keith Neal was traveling with Kaybreisha "Kay" Timpson, 20, in his car along with their daughter, Nariyaz Keytasia Neal, Monday. The warrant said the two got into a verbal argument and Keith Neal retrieved a gun out of the glove compartment, and fired one round that struck Timpson in the left hand, forearm and chest area. 
Royal Oak, MI: A 23-year-old Clinton Township man was charged Friday with open murder in what police described as the "heinous" stabbing of a 41-year-old Royal Oak woman. Christopher Michael Hearn was arrested Wednesday in the Sept. 19 death of Ranae Ann Chupick. Terrance Brennan, the 44th District judge, entered a not guilty plea for Hearn and ordered him held in the Oakland County Jail pending a Sept. 30 preliminary exam. 
Kansas City, MO: Two people have been identified in double murder/suicide Tuesday. Police said Terra Swan and Wylie Hill were both shot and killed by a man at 55th Street and Jaudon Avenue before the shooter turned the gun on himself. 
Colorado Springs, CO: A family’s trip to buy ice cream ended tragically Thursday evening when the father was shot and killed by one of his wife’s ex-boyfriends as their children ordered dessert, the woman said. Oscar “James” Frias’ wife, Julia, said she and her children have spent the past week in fear while police search for her ex-boyfriend, 41-year-old Roy Saldivar, whom police suspect pulled the trigger. 
Jersey City, NJ: A Jersey City man has been charged with killing his wife after police discovered her remains inside of a 55-gallon cement-filled drum in the home they once shared, authorities said. Steven Acuna now faces murder charges after police made the grisly discovery of Randy "Amanda" Lehrer’s remains inside the couple’s former Charles Street residence on Friday night, Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio said. 
Wichita, KS: A domestic dispute led to a Wichita woman's death over the weekend, police said. Authorities found Dana Arnold, 46, dead inside her apartment in the 800 block of S. Beverly early Saturday morning. Investigators believe she was strangled to death. Officers arrested Eldridge Sherrill in connection to the crime. 
Brazos County, TX: Investigators identified the two bodies found Saturday afternoon in a rural Brazos County home as 22-year-old Chance Schneider and 20-year-old Ashley Lenz. The bodies of the estranged couple were found by a roommate, authorities said. 
Walnut Cove, NC: A Walnut Cove man with a history of domestic violence is accused of fatally shooting his possibly pregnant wife [Alicia Heath Bowman] Sunday while the victim's 11-year-old son was in the house, Stokes County Sheriff Mike Marshall said . George William Bowman, 35, was charged with murder and was being held without bond in Stokes County Jail, Marshall said. The investigation continues, and the sheriff is still considering whether to file a more specific charge of first degree murder, he said. 
Morgan Township, PA: Neighbors, family members and police continue to search for reasons why a Greene County man killed his recently estranged wife and two children before taking his own life. "We're hoping the autopsies will be able to tell us some kind of story," said Greene County Coroner Gregory Rohanna, a friend of the family. "There doesn't seem to be any indications ... that this was forthcoming." State Trooper Bart Lemansky was among the officers called to check on the family about 10:10 p.m. Sunday. When he and other troopers arrived, they found Kevin Teagarden, 42, his wife, Tammy, 40, and their children, Madison, 8, and Kevin Jr., 22 months, dead inside their home on Chartiers Road in Morgan Township. 
Marshfield, MA: Patricia Frois had finally left. She had moved out of the second-floor home she shared with her boyfriend, Marcello Almeida, at the Village of Marshfield Apartments on Saturday after another episode in what family and friends described as a volatile and violent relationship. A neighbor on the first floor took her in, allowing Frois, 24, a place to stay while she figured out her next move. 
Findlay, OH: Before his wife's body was found on Tuesday, a Findlay man was arrested and charged with her death. Evan Donoho, 26, 626 Hull Ave., was arrested and charged Monday night — he is being held in the Hancock County Jail. Findlay police say he has no prior criminal history. His wife, Danielle Donoho, 29, was found in a field off of Township Road 168 about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday. 
Sioux Falls, SD: Nyamai Biliu's parents brought their daughter to this country 10 years ago for a better life. Now they are planning her funeral. Kun Garbang brought seven children to the U.S. from Sudan in 2001. Nyamai was just 14 then. They came here for a chance at a better life and an education. But Garbang said he never expected this to happen to any of his children, especially the daughter he says was a loved by everyone. 
Lafayette, LA: A Lafayette man suspected in the early Wednesday morning fatal stabbing of a 47-year-old woman was found dead inside the dead woman’s vehicle following an apparent suicide that occurred later in the morning, an official said. Officials found Michael Denson, 47, inside Melissa Lair’s 2009 Mazda 3 at a rest area north of Washington on Interstate 49, according to a news release from the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office. 
Jurupa Valley, CA: Friends and co-workers Thursday remembered slaying victim Maria Celia Aguirre as a beloved school employee who had a special place in her heart for children. “The kids loved her. Everybody loved her,” said retired teacher Guadalupe Hernandez, who knew Aguirre for more than 20 years. 
South Gate, CA: Family and friends are mourning the loss of a senior who died after being stabbed several times at South East High School. Victim Cindi Santana, 17, succumbed to her wounds hours after police say she was stabbed by her boyfriend in the school courtyard Friday afternoon. “Just a wonderful, amazing student at South Gate,” LAUSD Superintendent John Deasy said. “The family is beyond grieved. It’s the worst thing you can imagine could happen to you. I spent some time with them and my heart is broken.”
