3 Charged in 1998 Killing of Prison Guard
Anaheim, CA: Three men have been charged with the cold case shooting death of a female prison guard who was gunned down in 1998 near the 91 Freeway in Anaheim, including the woman's husband, prosecutors said. The Orange County District Attorney's Office Wednesday filed special circumstances murder charges against Nuzzio Begaren, now 50, the husband of victim Elizabeth Wheat Begaren, and co-defendant Joel Louis Sandoval, 36.
